Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Harmonic Suppression Unit (HS910 Series)
Harmonic suppression unit that converts input current into a pure sine wave, achieving energy savings and power factor improvement.
Overview The input current waveform is shaped into a sine wave, reducing and suppressing the harmonics generated by the inverter. It also helps improve power factor. By returning regenerative energy from the motor to the power supply side, energy savings can be achieved. The HS910 series is equipped with communication functions and lifespan detection features to enhance usability. Additionally, stability has improved in generator combination operations compared to conventional models, achieving resilient operation. The input current waveform is shaped into a sine wave, reducing and suppressing the generation of harmonics. When using a harmonic suppression unit, the power supply circuit in the harmonic suppression measures guideline is treated with a conversion factor K5=0. The issue of peak current occurring in the input current with just the inverter is addressed by improving the input current to a sine wave shape, thereby suppressing the generation of harmonics. Furthermore, controlling with a power factor of 1 also aids in power factor improvement, allowing for the downsizing of power supply equipment. Common converter configuration allows for parallel connection of inverters. Multiple inverters can be connected in parallel to achieve a common converter configuration. This eliminates the need for individual regenerative braking units, allowing for collective harmonic suppression, which results in space savings and cost reduction. Returning regenerative energy to the power supply enables energy savings. When using a braking resistor,
